What's New at Boca Raton Public Library
Happy Thanksgiving from the Library

November is a special month when the long-awaited cooler weather starts to arrive.  More importantly, it is the month when we take time to reflect and be thankful for our dear friends and family, while remembering the special events and places that have had a meaningful impact to our lives.

It is also a time for celebration and this past year, our library patrons checked out over one million library physical and digital items surpassing our goal with a total circulation of 1,082,208 items!  An amazing 556,931 community members and visitors enjoyed the library spaces and services, including 66,629 participants in 2,111 programs. There were 5,302 new library cards and renewed 5,915 library cards for our community members. Information or technology assistance for our library users was way up reaching a total of 664,639 assists!  The wonderful 174 library volunteers contributed 1,301 hours of their time.
Thank you to all the library users, program presenters, volunteers, community partners, and library team members who helped to make the Boca Raton Public Library an engaging place to Discover, Connect, and Create!

The Friends of the Library group continue to be an important and outstanding partner all year long, supporting the Library with excellent music and speaker programs, adult and youth book clubs, youth chess programs, Summer Reading, Touch-A-Truck, 1000 Books Before Kindergarten, StoryWalks, Little Free Libraries, Cultural Heritage Performances, and more.  A hearty thanks to the Friends for their volunteer time and for over $70,000 in program funding, supported by their fantastic bookstore at the Downtown Library, individual donors like Shari and Steve Sadek, and other fundraising events. Thank you, Friends!
